No one is in a hurry here. Just walk slowly along and relax. Several good restaurants are close by. On Market Street you can try the Black Hog for casual sandwiches and beer. More upscale is El Porto, the best Italian restarant in all of Frederick County, also on nearby Market Street. Right on Carroll Creek is the best restaurant... 更多
I always enjoy the beauty and art that is developing in this area. There always seems to be something new to discover!! Nice walk with friends and family and pets
If you like to walk or even bike, the Carrol Creek park is a must place to visit and is connected to Baker Park. The area has a nice selection of places to eat near by. It is also easy access to downtown Frederick, which then has tons of restaurants and shops.
I never tire of walking the creek on a warm night but it is great no matter the time of day. It is a pleasant walk with unique features & easy access to refreshments on Market St. Large coi, aquatic plants, art... A downtown walk like none other!
I've taken a few walks along the park when in town for business, and it's a clean, flat, comfortable place to stroll in the evening. It's still early in the season, but it appears as though there are many little waterfalls along the creek, and places where performers can do their thing. I liked that there were also historical markers... 更多
This lovely park along the creek is a wonderful respite from the hustle and bustle of downtown. It is paved on both sides of the water with water feature feeding into it. There are places to sit and cool bridges over the water. The only issue I had was I wish there was more greenery and nature.
This park is really a great place to walk/job and enjoy the downtown area. Not only that, but it's peaceful and quiet for the most part. My only real complaint is that there is constantly trash in the water. I wish they would clean the water area up a bit.
When visiting Frederick, we nearly always take a short stroll along the canal, as it is interesting even in the winter. However, in warmer weather, the water plants, ducks, koi-half-breeds and canal-side plantings are a great draw, and several restaurants feature canal-side outdoor dining.
Enjoyed walking around the canal, seeing the birds, and checking out the shops that line it. The art work and the different styles of bridges are worth walking the length of the park.
