Running in the morning, changing sides from Boston to Cambridge and vice-versa, amazing views, flat path. Start in any side of the river, cross Longfellow bridge and choose one direction to run, cross the next bridge and you will have a 5k running.

Took a walk down to the Charles River from Back Bay and found the cycle track. Nice and wide and clearly marked the cycle track is an excellent way to get around Boston + see the Charles River views and bridges.
