Very nice collection by the Rasmussen Family of Alaska Native items. And paintings. The one I like is the young girl in front of a cave with a fire in front of her. Just like it is from the "Clan of the Cave Bear" series.

Our first day in anchorage was rainy and we didn't feel like hiking flattop mountain so we found this museum and loved it!!! The gentleman who showed us around had vast knowledge and was so interesting! We all enjoyed it (with 3 children, ages 11-18)....更多
This small museum is free but has limited hours. We looked for the model of the Coast Guard cutter "Bear" which is all ivory and created by artist Robert Townsend who lives in Anchorage. This took 3 years to complete, but is a wonderful work.
