The school the Carters attended is now a museum containing information about both President and Mrs. Carter's childhood, marriage, family and humanitarian work. A copy of President Carter's Nobel Peace Prize is on display.
Previously reviewed under National Historic Site. You do have to visit the school to learn more about the man, so highly recommend

We stopped in the Plains School following hearing former President Jimmy Carter teach Sunday School at Maranatha Baptist Church. What a nice facility! This was a really nice museum located in the school that Jimmy Carter attended. There was information on his early life as well as his presidency. Also included information about Rosalynn Carter. The staff was very friendly. Very nice stop, worth the time.
