Walked by this square a few times and liked the unique architectural design of the sphere in the center of it. Nothing amazing besides that but the fact that this is yet, another square in a city that has plenty.
This square, laid out in 1851, is named after a former Georgia Governor.
At the center of the square is an "armillary sphere." This device was used to track celestial orbits. Here, in Troup Square, this sculpture acts as a sundial.
The large Armillary Sphere is a prominent feature displayed in this beautiful park.
It is an eye - catching exhibition. Anybody interested in astrology will surely appreciate it.
Dogs will appreciate their water fountain...
We thought the Troupe Square was worth a visit...
