This is a quick side-trip but you should stop and read the plaques because it is so unusual. After seeing it from afar so many times, it was nice to go up and take a good long look.
Truly fascinating story is well presented inside -- about how the tower was constructed, how it was used to make shot, and how the city rallied to save it from demolition in the 1920s. This is a totally unique site. We were not allowed to...更多
We walked by this afternoon after visiting the flag museum. It reminded me of a round red Washington monument. It stands over the Police memorial. Unfortunantly it was not open.
