Great atmosphere, drinks are served in tea cups (prohibition). There are definitely bars with better cocktails but due to the interior and style of this back room bar it is a "must to do" when visiting the east village.

The Back Room is a unique cocktail experience in New York City. To get to this speakeasy, you have to walk down a dimly lit alley outside which can be a creepy. I probably won’t have gone if I wasn’t with my husband because it looked so sketchy. Inside, it is dimly lit and the dark furniture, maroon walls, and... 更多

The Back Room provided a neat glimpse into prohibition times. The entrance is unassuming and tucked away down an alley. Upon entering you take a step back in time with velvet wall coverings, Victorian style furnishings and low lighting. Drinks are served in tea cups just as they were during prohibition. It was a experience!

I thinks this is one of the thick boxes. Place is cool and we where lucky enough to be in a quite Saturday night(?). Not really a cocktail expert but the drinks are ok but as in every place in New York, very expensive and considering that drinks are served in a "small" tea cup, even more expensive. Staff normal... 更多

I visited the Back Room last week and was very impressed. The hidden entrance has the perfect speakeasy vibe, and serving drinks in teacups and coffee mugs was a nice touch. The crowd was a mix of all ages.

We found this place having done a speakeasy tour in New York. I was initially really excited at the concept and idea and who doesn't love cocktails but once we tried it was a little disappointed. This was one of three speakeasies we tried, and was the least favourite of the three with Death and Co. and Please Don't Tell... 更多

Set though a small backdoor, this speakeasy bar has a great intimate decor, themed around the prohibition era, this bar looks great, unfortunately the service was the complete opposite, with the bar man who served us being extremely rude and dismissive

Went there looking for something particular with high expectations but in the end I was not satisfied. The location is very nice, it really looks like a 1920 speakeasy with the funny tradition of serving booze in teacups but it all ends there. Cocktails were poor and music not appropriate and too loud. I got an Old Fashioned and i... 更多

This should be on the to-do list if you are on the lower east side. Cool vibe with the hush-hush atmosphere but you have to be quick to grab a seat. $14.00 specialty drinks were ok but worth it for the climate. Nurse Betties next door is a great follow up afterwards.

A local told me and my bf to go to The Back Room, and so we did. The entrance was super sketchy in a fun way, all secretive through an alley. Then we entered a room that was decorated kinda like an old living room. All drinks were served in tea cups to match the concept, which I thought was... 更多
