I used to pass by MOCA all the time and always thought it would be a nice place to check out. Luckily, a friend of mine asked me to meet up there and I had the opportunity to see how amazing this museum is. As someone with a Chinese heritage, the information opened my eyes to the rich history that... 更多

A great place that connects the history and the present together. Modern sleek designs that are both contemporary and classic- but it's also very educational. I've been there 3 times and each time I walk out learning something new about the history of Chinese in America. Most notably, the exhibit about the evolution of Chinese American food was one of... 更多

This museum takes up two floors of a cool old brick building. The layout was chronological and really informative. I feel like my American History classes didnt really touch upon everything Americans did to Chinese immigrants. It was eye-opening. The staff was so friendly and two members came up to us to ask if we wanted to partake in the... 更多

The museum is small and compact but has a good variety of exhibits. The exhibition on Chinese food was actually a collection of stories by various food experts, highlighting their personal and culinary journeys to, in, and around America. The exhibits on the past and present struggles faced by the Chinese were eye-opening and sobering. Free entrance every first Thursday... 更多

I didn't have high expectations for this museum, but once I went, it was surprisingly good. Had a lot of great information regarding how chinese immigrants have been involved in American history since very early on. This museum really helped my child understand and become more entune to his chinese heritage. I would definitely recommend visiting when in the Chinatown... 更多

A good start, I feel like this museum could grow and evolve - but isn't quite there, yet. Lots of interesting info in the form (primarily) of photos and writing. There are audio portions, but they are difficult to discern in the relatively small space with a bunch of people. Worth a stop, but be prepared to be jostled and... 更多

this was a small museum on about how the chinese survived and how they came from china. My kids enjoyed it , took about 1hr to go through the whole museum.

This afternoon we spent a couple of hours at this well-organized and informative museum of the Chinese experience in North America located on the "border" between Chinatown and Little Italy, but really, it is also generally about the experience of all immigrants. And you don't have to be Chinese or Chinese-American to enjoy and appreciate the exhibits. The imterpretive information... 更多

First Thursdays are free, but even if you had to pay full fare, this little museum is a well-maintained and informative way to learn about the Chinese experience in America. The exhibits were well-marked and attractive. My favorite bits were the biographies of famous and not-so-famous but important Chinese in this country. The staff was friendly and helpful.

This is a small museum, but it does a nice job of covering the immigration of the Chinese in America and what they faced. The photo gallery and the videos were nicely done. They give a nice historical insight of the culture. There is also a small gift shop.
