My husband and I are traveling the full length of the Trace in 3 days. Our National Park Service has done a wonderful job with the budget it is given to keep up our national treasures. Beginning at the Nashville end, we agree that the section from there to Tupelo is much more interesting than between Tupelo and Jackson. There... 更多

During a road trip from the UK to the States last year, we met a couple who recommended Natchez Trace Parkway for our next trip. This years road trip was largely centred around the stunning road/state park. Amazing 444 mile drive on quiet roads, with lots of history, lovely walking trails and scenery. We started off from Franklin end, and... 更多

The Natchez Trace Parkway was a delightful detour on an otherwise boring drive halfway across the country. My 22 year old son and I picked up the Parkway at Tupelo, MS and drove north-east to Nashville, TN, backtracking a bit from our planned itinerary but well worth it. Great history, incredible views and peaceful driving all in one package. We... 更多

Drove the route from Jackson to Tupelo. Unbelievable scenery. The parkway should be on everyone's bucket list! While in Jackson, plan on staying at the King Edward Hotel. Historic hotel, renovated within the last ten years. The lobby is hard to put into words. The restaurant has great southern food. We stayed here the night before our drive. What a... 更多

All very lovely and gives you an idea of the vastness of the state and number of trees. The trees do get s bit monotonous after a while but not sure what I expected. Better than getting bored on the interstate. Watty

Certainly a very welcome alternative to interstate highway driving. The vista and scenery is natural and relaxing. It is a slower drive but it was worth the distraction. It was an Indian Trail before and you can easily imagine how it was then.

Rode the Trace from Clinton, MS to the northeast corner of the state. Recommend stopping and seeing all that you can. The cypress swamp and French Camp were our favorites on this trip but the Indian mounds and other historical sites were really nice also. The visitor center in Tupelo was very informative and has some good displays. Next trip... 更多

We had a wonderful day on April 5th, driving the parkway from Tupelo (mile 263) to Birdsong Hollow (mile 438). The weather was sunny and in the high 70s. Just a beautiful day! It was just like driving back in the 1960s, before everything got all interstate-y, at 50 mph and with the windows down. No noises except the air... 更多

We started at the headquarters and the did about 60 miles of the Parkway. This is truly a relaxing pleasurable driving experience. There are several pleasant stops along the way to either view historical, archaeological or civil war sites as well as hiking trails. I can't wait to drive the whole way!

Drove from Natchez to Tupelo via the Trace. Stopped for a picnic at a good spot by the Pearl River. Also visited an Indian burial mound (not enough detail provided about any artefacts found and the reasons for/significance behind the use of mounds) and a nature walk (saw little but nevertheless it was peaceful and interesting). The real joy was... 更多
