Stopped to view the annual salmon migration but unfortunately they had already moved past this spot and were now in Capitol Lake and further up Tumwater Falls Park. Did see the local resident blue herons and gulls but no seals! Oh well, as they say...更多

There are a lot of interesting things to see and do in Olympia but this is not really one of them. If one wants to see the salmon ladder well go see that under the bridge but that is it. No special trip here.
This is a good place to view the salmon, when they are running. Otherwise it's just bridge that borders on a toxic lake. It is not a destination or an engineering feat , like the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. If you're in Olympia anyway you might...更多
Educational for kids and adults and dogs. The seals hang by the bridge and catch salmon. It's next to Bayview...更多
whether you're there in the fall to watch the salmon or just go for the view, it is a great spot. You can't park real close, maybe a block away, but the vistas are nice.
Nice place to visit when the salmon are running. Sometimes there is a volunteer available for any questions you may have. Good for kids to see the fish.
