I visited Issaquah this past weekend for Mother's Day weekend to watch my son and his cast members in the theater production of Dreamgirls playing at the Village Theatre. The show was amazing and the theater, though quaint and simple, has a sense of elegance and antique style. All the seats are good seats. I sat in the balcony (per... 更多
It's our first season at Village Theatre and we are very happy with the productions we've seen there. The cast for each production has been excellent - true professionals, very talented. The sound can get a bit screechy for some of the women in musicals, but that's about the only negative I can think of re the productions. We don't... 更多
The musical "Singin' in the Rain" was a great musical, good acting, singing, etc. It won't make you forget Gene Kelly and Donald O'Conner, but the lead actress channeled Debbie Reynolds perfectly. The theater was just the right size. It seemed like all the seats were very close and had a good view. I didn't feel the need to strain... 更多
Last night we saw their production of Singing In The Rain. It was sooo good. Wonderful voices, fun tap dancing scenes. Funny, great actors. We have been season ticket holders for 35 years with our friends. All 4 of us agreed that this production ranks in the Top Ten that we've seen in that times. Get tickets if you can.... 更多
The Village Theater is always top notch. The Pump Boys and Dinette cast is the best mix of a cast I have ever seen. It is an explosive dynamic and unbelievable harmony and each cast member plays more than one instrument. I have seen the play twice and look forward to a 3rd performance.
We have been Season Tickets subscribers of Village Theatre for 16 years. The productions are absolutely wonderful. Everything is 1st class. The sets, costumes, actors, directors, theatre, you name it. It's fantastic. I don't think I've ever been disappointed in any production I've seen. The original productions are often award winning and Broadway bound. Next To Normal won the Pulizer... 更多
Wow! Amazing performance- we are going again tonight. Don't miss it. The dance, music and storyline perfect for all ages.
Having been season ticket holders for 20 years, we have not seen a bad performance! Village Theatre has been instrumental in creating new productions, as well as performing the classics. Some of the new plays/musicals have won awards and gone on to NYC and Broadway, e.g., "Million Dollar Quartet" The venue is wonderful (not a bad seat in the house)... 更多
This place is just great. Its a small community theater that knows what it is doing. We keep coming back. Its cool also as Finn's restaurant is attached. How convenient, Oh boy!
