If you have never been to the Mount Baker Theatre, you're in for a rare treat. It's a grand movie palace like the 5th Avenue Theater in Seattle, the Pantages Theater in Tacoma, or the Fox Theater is Spokane. It's been impeccably restored to original condition with refurbished seating and modern theater stage lighting. Even the carpet which is new... 更多
This is our 5th trip to this venue, and we have reservations for more!!! A wonderful venue, great shows, great seats throughout the house, great staff (both volunteer and paid) and just a wonderful way to spend an evening. If you haven't been, look them up and make plans. Bellingham is a wonderful town with many wondrous things to do... 更多
We visited this theatre to see a performance from the Met, and it was a great experience. It's a charming little theatre with comfortable seats. I would definitely go back again for another event.
If you are staying in Bellingham, be sure to catch a show at Mt, Baker Theater. It was built in the 30s, I think, and is a magnificent example of Moorish revival architecture. The Whatcom Symphony plays here and has improved tremendously over the years. We are so lucky to have this jewel!
Old longtime favorite in downtown area. Pastries and breakfast specialties are great. Very outdated interiors. Fairly fast service. Fun shoe store around the corner and close proximity to the center of downtown Bellingham. Named after Mount Baker where locals ski.
I've enjoyed many shows at the Mount Baker Theatre, from off-Broadway runs of "Annie" and "Rock of Ages" to "Spamelot" and "Camelot" - as well humorists such as Bill Engvall. As a short, hard-of-hearing person, I try to get seats near the front. But even from the back of the balcony, you can experience the show well. And no matter... 更多
This gorgeous theater make you feel like you're in the big city, minus driving around aimlessly for an hour trying to find parking. It's right in the heart of Bellingham, within walking distance to lots of great places to eat, is absolutely gorgeous on the inside, the staff is friendly and courteous, and there are two separate places to get... 更多
I have seen two productions thus far; "The Nutcracker" with local talent and "Pirates of Penzance" performed by a group from New York. Both were well done. The acoustics aren't the best. But, all in all, both were good shows.
We have been to several concerts at the Mount Baker Theatre and have always enjoyed the class and comfort of the old surroundings. The feel of nostalgia is very apparent and shows in the care given to the theatre. Sights and sounds are great on both levels. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house.
