This is a great stop that is well worth doing if you are in the area. It is a nice, clean place with very friendly staff. There are big windows on two floors for viewing the chip making process. A very nice and knowledgeable employee showed us around and explained the whole process to us. She answered my kids' many... 更多
While in route to visit grandchildren in Pa. , we were guided to a very special place that most people would miss, driving up I-81 in Va.. It's called "ROUTE 11 P O T A T O CHIPS", located in Mount Jackson, Va. Started in 1992 by the current owner, it is a small facility that produces a wide variety... 更多
This isn't a factory tour. However, when you go in the store, you can look through glass windows to watch the chip-making process. They offer free samples and sell freshly-made chips. The BBQ were delicious.
We were looking forward to stopping here, but were very disappointed. I woke my kids up for nothing. Totally misleading and extremely shameful that they waste travellers time in this way.
Hi Marie, We're sorry we didn't meet your expectations. The last thing we want to do is disappoint anybody, and... 更多
Even as a local I still appreciate going there and tasting the different chips. Sweet potato chips are a family favorite but they are seasonal. Next is the lightly salted. These are a bit thicker than your normal chip and very high quality. You can see the factory process as well. Always ask the ladies at the counter for suggestions.... 更多
Driven by lots of times and was finally nearby during business hours. Quick drive off I81. "Tour" is free. You can watch the action through windows and an employee explains whats going on. They are very proud of their company and willing to answer any questions. Surpisingly the employees working the chip line would even wave and smile when they... 更多
The people who work there are friendly and informative. If you're going for the tour, it's short and quick. It's not a huge factory. We were visiting from out of state, and our family took us there. You can sample all the flavors. Really liked the dill pickle and Chesapeake Bay crab flavors.
I didn't really know what to expect when I stopped by the Route 11 Potato Chip Factory. I hoped to find some sort of information about the history of the company, the owners, or some other information. You do, however, get to watch the potato chip making process through windows. There was a helpful and friendly woman there who gave... 更多
