Have just had a fabulous lunch here.
(About 3 miles east of Fuengirola at Carvajal).
Signature dish is sardines - 10 for 3euros.
Friendly staff, beach location, frequented by locals as well as tourists.
Cateto's Beach is the best we've been to for a long time.
The heavy rains have 'cleaned' the storm drains and arroyos carrying the cut (see the ends) bamboo/cane down to the sea - the beach is covered with it. The council are doing a great job of cleaning up, there a piles of bamboo, all the beaches.
This is an excellent beach, worth visiting from anywhere in Malaga and easily accessed by train with the station across the road. Plenty of restaurants and bars as well as good swimming although the sand on this part of the coast can be gravelly.
