This was an incredible experience that completely exceeded my expectations. The observatory itself is awesome, as the roof rolls off the building so you're exposed to the open sky. Then there are two powerful, beautifully designed telescopes that follow stars as the plant moves. The astronomer who provided us with a sky tour was extremely knowledgeable and was passionate about... 更多
Even though the conditions weren't ideal for star gazing the night that we went, Astronomer Jim Sheets is a wealth of knowledge and helped explain the vastness and beauty of the universe. Be sure to check it out - you won't be disappointed!
The astronomer on duty is truly AMAZING, very informative, fun to listen and knowledgeable. Great with kids and adults' questions. I wish I could stay longer. I learned a lot of new things. I've been to other observatories but he truly transmitted his passion for the Universe. If you are in the area don't miss this place.
We really enjoyed the guided time of star gazing. It was mesmerizing. Everyone got a turn to look through the giant telescope and the instructor was fascinating.

There are two telescopes for star viewing and Jim educates viewers about the constellations in a very accessible manner. Make sure to dress warmly as this is an outdoor experience, which we were not aware of. As hotel guests, we felt they could have... 更多

Wow! The observatory is a must do up you can work it in to your visit at Canyon of the Eagles. Astronomer host "Jim" was very informative and set up several amazing views through the two large telescopes. The location is far from any city lights, allowing spectacular night viewing. Programs are offered on Wednesday eve. We were just lucky... 更多
