A great place to visit and partnered well with the military park's that are in the area. It has several artifacts from the Civil War era that some of the parks did not have. There was a replica boat house that is really neat for smaller children. A good experience.
lots of interesting facts and history. A MUST SEE!!!! Make sure you see the human effigy. It's AMAZING!!!
Nice museum right on Main St before the bridge. Also extremely helpful nice staff who gave us lots of suggestions and directions for places to see.
Take the time to visit this spot. There are so many wonderful things to see here. Excellent arrangement of relics.

In the area for a few weeks so we were looking for places to visit. The Tennessee River Museum was a fun stop to learn about the area from the Indians, through the Civil War, to the river boats. If you go to Shilo Battlefield, the admission to the TRM is free (although - give them a few bucks anyway).
Very nice and friendly place to tour. There is a lot of information about the Indians and pottery. Displays of rocks and shells also pearls. We did not have time to watch the display videos and we were sorry not to see these. We had not planned enough time for everything. Our loss! You will enjoy this museum but make... 更多
The Tennessee River Museum is free when you visit Shiloh National Military Park. It is well laid out and features an excellent exhibit highlighting the naval and land weapons of the US Civil War. The exhibit on Indian Burial Grounds is excellent as well. I recommend it!
