I was looking forward to our visit to Mount Stuart. One of the highlights of our trip. After a lovely welcome from Louisa at the front of the house i was sure it would live up to expectations. However it went downhill very quickly. The guided tour was akin to an episode of one man and his dog as staff... 更多

We visited Mount Stuart last week and enjoyed it immensely, both the gardens and the house. The cafe in the courtyard served drinks, snacks and cakes. The inside of the house had some wonderful rooms including a main room of which the ceiling is the height of eight adult elephants. The bedrooms each have there own unique style, especially the... 更多
The house is stunning from the grand design of the building to the celestial ceilings inside the buildings. The marble chapel is beautiful and a great sense peace descends on you as you enter the chapel. The gardens are wonderful there are courtesy to help you get round if you need them. This was the highlight of my holiday.
Recently travelled to the Isle of Bute with my husband and we were fortunate to have warm sunny weather. This added to the highlight of our stay a visit to Mount Stuart. We cannot say enough about the wonderful surrounds, gardens, grounds, tea rooms and to top this a visit to this fabulous House. The guides were welcoming and friendly... 更多
We visited Mount Stuart on a lovely sunny day so the grounds were particularly delightful. The house is fascinating, certainly the most ornate building I have ever seen. Dogs are allowed in the gardens and grounds but not in the house. Had lunch in the tearoom which was very good.
Second visit to Mount Stuart but will go back again as there is so much to see and do. The gardens are particularly beautiful in May as the Azalias and Rhodedendrons are in full bloom. The staff, mainly volunteers were very friendly and helpful. Not to be missed if you are visiting Bute.
My goodness you need to see this place. It was semi closed for a wedding and the setting for this was magnificent. The entrance hall area, the swimming pool, the staircase and the Chapel. Please dont miss this best thing on Bute.
Very interesting. This was our second visit. So much to see both in the house and gardens. So much so we visited the gardens for a third time. Absolutely beautiful. Guides are so informative and approachable.
We did not go in the house as we had our dog with us, dogs not allowed in the property, but ok for walking around the property and great gardens. We spent a good hour+ walking around the gardens and down by the beach.
Well worth the visit , the gardens and house were beautiful , absolutely stunning , shame the visitors centre could not explain about the beehive well , was interesting to know why and how it came about , by contrast the guides in the house were very informative , stunning decor and beautiful art . Gardens very well tended ,... 更多
