Absolutely LOVED our visit to Lynchburg Cake & Candy Co. Mr. Thomas gave us a personal tour of his business.....he's quite the businessman!! The building may be small, but the business he does out of it is remarkable!! Definitely worth stopping by and taking a tour.
Tucked away just off the main road heading towards the Jack Daniels distillery is a hidden gem. A small quaint little shop owned by Mr. Bill Thomas. You can end up spending hours listening to his stories and talking with him, Oh and the main reason for the stop. Those Great Cakes, Pecan Pralines and Candies. Make it a stop... 更多
The cakes & candies certainly live up to their reputation, but the real treat here is Mr. Billy Thomas & his genuine hospitality & friendliness. Wife & I dropped in late on a Sat. afternoon & despite hosting a 25-year wedding anniversary party for his son that evening, he gave us a full tour of his facility-complete with a historical... 更多
What a wonderful place to visit. We have been to the area many many times but this is the first time to the Lynchburg Cake and Candy Co. The owner/tour guide Billy Thomas is a wonderful man. We not only learned about his business but also Lynchburg. We accidentally over paid him and he got in his car and ran... 更多
This place has a really great cake. It has a really great bag of candy. And that's IT! Still worth the trip just to hear the owner's story. Be sure to stop by (just a couple of minutes from Ms. Bobo's) on your way to Lynchburg!!!
Stopped by because we saw the sign on the road after leaving the distillery. The OPEN sign was not on when we got to the door but Billy was there to welcome us into his shop. He spent a lot of time with us telling his extraordinary stories. Loved every aspect of it. Will definitely drop by again. His product... 更多
We where met at the door by the owner Bill who told us the history of how he started the business and how it's grown to this day. He is such a kind man and great history of the business. Don't miss the whiskey cake & praline pecans! So good. He uses all American products!
We were early for our tour, so we headed into "downtown" Lynchburg not expecting much. This was the only shop open before 9 AM Central Time, so we went in. The coffee was good, and the scones and apple fritters were awesome! The shop is decorated in an upscale small town manner, which made our time there more enjoyable. The... 更多
