We attended a reception adjacent to the James White Fort, offering us the opportunity to view the Fort. The Fort is small, and easily overlooked, but its importance to Knoxville history makes it worth the time to visit.
This is a hidden little fort in downtown Knoxville. It's best to drive here but the walk isn't terrible. You just have to go down to the river and then back up. It's a nice experience in the fall since there are many beautiful trees...更多
So much history to take in when in Nashville. Worth the stop for a brief visit. Especially good for those who are unfamiliar with colonial times and living.Great bit of history.
Stopped by both mid-day and midweek. The gentleman at the front desk was quite knowledgeable of the history and had excellent stories of the area and the fort. The self guided tour allows you the time to linger over your points of personal interests. The...更多
