The old gin foundation can still be seen today. A monument has been erected to honor Gen Cleburne. Only a short walk from the Carter House.

Yes, there is not much of extravagance here - simple and subdued is the tribute to one of Ireland's finest, Major General Cleburne. But to paraphrase President Lincoln, "History cannot forget what they did here." Instead, take off your hat and reflect on the courage...更多

This is a nice little spot on the site of the battle of Franklin. Glad they have restored the area and its memory is preserved for another 150 years! Would recommend taking a few minutes to enjoy the site and reflect.

The actual gin was across the street, and that site is being reclaimed as well as this one. Great efforts are being made to reclaim as many sites as possible.

This is a very small park...just a quick stop on the way to the Carnton Plantation and the confederate cemetery ...but for a history buff...pretty cool!
