The old gin foundation can still be seen today. A monument has been erected to honor Gen Cleburne. Only a short walk from the Carter House.

There is nothing fantastic about this attraction, nothing wild and attention grabbing, except the history behind the location and the monument that stands there. That alone is worth the visit. With more Americans dying in the four hour span of the Battle of Franklin than...更多
The actual gin was across the street, and that site is being reclaimed as well as this one. Great efforts are being made to reclaim as many sites as possible.
This is a very small park...just a quick stop on the way to the Carnton Plantation and the confederate cemetery ...but for a history buff...pretty cool!
