If you like a beach without anything but a beach, this is a great place to go. You can see gators on one side of the access road but unfortunately the nature center and it's "residents" just burned to the ground from a lightning strike.
Parking is a bit of a hike, can't carry in coolers or gear very well but if you pack light, you can enjoy the day.
We try to go every time we visit and there is always something new to see. Bird watching, alligators in the marsh, amazing sunsets....and a very nice beach!
Our first visit! It's a joy to see a lovely natural beach after the chaotic commercialism of Myrtle Beach. Parking, changing and rest rooms, outside showers are all convenient. Worth the $5/person entrance fee. We will have to go back to see the Atalaya site....更多
Beach area is clean. Well taken care of.bathroom are right of parking lot. Picnic area available. Bring our own umbrella, chairs, and lunch. Beach is not over crowded.
