My wife and I took a tour of the fish hatchery one morning while we were staying at Oconee State Park. It was very interesting. We both enjoyed seeing how the hatchery was run. It would not be a waste of your time.
Always enjoy walking through the hatchery. My Uncle worked here for probably 40 years starting back in the early 60s. There are beautiful hiking trails as well as beautiful scenery and lots of opportunities for the kids to run, climb and play in nature. I am not a fisherman but I am told there is good fishing here too!
