Went to the Cox Ferry Lake area to hike and photograph wildlife. A little hard to find. Trails are wide. Boardwalk may or may not be open, signage is a little contradictory. Trail maintenance is lacking, as there are three large trees blocking the blue...更多
We drove here hoping for some trails, outdoor birding, etc. Very deceiving as it is basically a education center and you're instructed to drive another 15 miles to a so called wildlife refuge. Which was another disappointing trip. I guess I expected more from a...更多
The visitors' center is a little difficult to find. A gps takes you there, though. It is a very nice and apparently new building. There is an informative display explaining the confluence of the Pee Dee River and the 'black water' river. There aren't any...更多
The visitors center has a 10 minute walk through the woods and an informative but small exhibit on the area water, ecology, wildlife. But the center is out of the way and mainly designed for local school groups. You can spend 30 minutes there.
