Great way to safely see the inside of a submarine. You will be shocked at the amount of stuff is packed into the sub - just imagine what it would be like to live in it for months.....Not for me.
The USS Requin is a fantastic stop for all as part of the Carnegie Science Center, and almost a must-see for anyone interested in Naval history. Most of the submarine is open for visiting, and it is easy to spend at least an hour here...更多
Take the tour, you won't regret it! Just the ability to walk around on a submarine is worth the trip! Don't forget to take a selfie in front of the torpedo!
WWII submarine with guide in torpedo room answering questions. Interesting signage explaining things and memorabilia laid out. Included in Science museum ticket or can go separately. Recommend, especially with kids.
Really interesting. I would've enjoyed spending longer, though my kids got a lot out of our strolling-through visit. It's impressive as something to view and more impressive as something that reminds you what it takes/what it took to serve in a naval submarine.
You actually get to descend into the vessel, and view it as it was in 1945, The docents are extremely well versed on its history, as well as technical details.
