Well presented art gallery with some interesting exhibitions in a historic building. An added plus here is the tea room well run by Tina. Excellent quality in lovely surroundings.
Really enjoyed our visit, very manageable with intersting exhibits. Didn't have time to visit the museum downstairs, but looked interesting, maybe next time we come "up north"!!!
Unfortunately this space was once a magnificent local library and has been replaced by a dreadful so called sculpture park. I visit the library which is part of the building but I have yet to see people visiting Sculptures. The large space always looks empty...更多

Bury Art Museum is one half noxious Victoriana and one half useless fluorescent postmodernism. The modern art hurt my eyes and the wannabe Holman Hunts hurt my sensibilities. The only decent painting is hung half way up a staircase. At least they have cleared out...更多
