Definitely worth a walk across this bridge for the views you'll see. It's relatively quick, maybe 10 minutes or so. Sidewalks aren't super wide though, so the traffic will feel close.
There are plenty other bridges in town that are more interesting than this one. (Check out the new pedestrian bridge or the Hawthorne bridge, for example.) But, this bridge can be handy. First off, rarely do they raise it ... only when the navy fleet, for example, arrives or leaves for the Rose Parade. Secondly it is wide ... which... 更多
Although not the most beautiful, it's one of the oldest, most historic with easy pedestrian access at both the east and west ends. Also, close to restaurants, taverns and the famous Saturday Market.

It's an easy bridge to cross on foot and it takes you right over to the East side of town. From there you can walk to some of the restaurants such as Le Pigeon. The bridge itself isn't one of the pretty ones but it's functional
If you really want to see all sides of Portland, don't miss out on the Burside Bridge. It crosses the Willamette River in downtown Portland. Most of the year you'll find a crazy good/weekend open air market underneath the west side of the bridge, walking distance from the Willamette River. Many of the vendors are selling self-made items that make... 更多
