Wow. We drove Larch Mountain Road to a view of five volcano peaks. We were fortunate to see it on a clear day and could see all five peaks. We were so excited to be able to see this fantastic viewpoint.
If you are in the Portland area, and have time to drive out to the Columbia River Gorge (where Multnomah Falls is the star attraction) take an extra hour and drive up to Larch Mountain for the short (.3 miles) hike on a paved trail to the overlook where you can see five major volcanic peaks in one sweeping view... 更多
I'm a summer camp counselor on Mt Hood and I've taken 3 groups of kids up here. I also took my mom up when she came to visit. The first time I took kids up, I thought "Maybe it will be clear up there and we can see an awesome view!!" Not the case. It was cloudy up there so... 更多

Road, I just kept driving to the top of... 更多
Yes weather would be very important. Not a climb for the weak of heart, but the effect is stunning. This is how the creator views the world.

Steep trail for us & difficult as we both have artificial knees. We had to stop frequently but the walk was worth it. The... 更多
