Highly recommend! Thing I can't remember is can you get 'reservations' for a camp site or is it 'first come-first served.' If so plan on getting there early in the day and just wait for the first opening.
What a gem!! And only 10 minutes from our home - lucky us! Although we don't have an RV to summer there, the layout is perfect for those who do. Also three cabins nestled in the woods. The park is immaculate and beautifully maintained. Public access to Chetco river, where we walk our dogs daily. The river and beach are... 更多
We will definitely revisit this campground and the park. The campground host was extremely helpful. The grounds are clean and well maintained. Camp sites are large....most all sites are river front. Bathrooms, hot showers are all sparkling clean. Redwood hikes start right at the park boundary and wander along the river bank and up into the redwoods adjacent to the... 更多
It was a rainy Sunday afternoon, so we only passed one person going the opposite direction. There was a stream that we crossed over several times. And the trees went on forever. Being in the quiet right among the trees all by ourselves was a huge highlight of our Oregon Coast road trip. I am super glad that I researched... 更多
I rented one of the cabins on the camp ground and stayed there for two nights with my kids while we explored the redwoods and the nearby beaches during the days. The cabins are in great shape and directly face the river. It's only a short walk to the shower and bathroom faciliites. Both the cabins and the faciliites were... 更多
One of my favorite trips camping was here at loeb park. It was the nicest water, clean ,not really cold , see 20 ft to the bottom. Very nice place to visit anytime really.
As native Oregonians, this was our first visit to Alfred A Loeb State Park. What a gem .. . tucked away on the Chetco River, about eight miles inland from Brookings on the Southern Oregon Coast. We were pleasantly surprised at this very nice, clean park located in a myrtlewood grove. We ended up staying five nights in our motorhome.... 更多
After you pull into the park keep going straight and just before the road drops down to the river there is parking on the left. In front of the parking area is a picnic area that ends in a well developed trail that meanders along the river. There are some sections that seem like rainforest, are thick with moss and... 更多
Nice place to have a picnic. On the Chetco River and had a nice trail to walk. Enjoyed watching the families swimming and floating down the river. At one spot they had a rope tied to a tree they would swing off of into the water and would tube and kayak down the river. Nice camping facilities with fire Pitts... 更多
This is an excellent place to enjoy spending some time in an Oregon myrtle wood forest. It's often warm & sunny when the weather on the coast is cool. It's a great place to swim in the summer, and there are nice hiking trails. If you're into camping, you better get there earl to get a spot!
