Not for everyone, perhaps, but it's an interesting look at 19th century building... the S bridge was built as an S to create a perpendicular crossing of a stream. Putting the curve on it on both sides to avoid the longer angular crossing. Fascinating that...更多

there are a couple of the old "s" bridges along US 40/22 near Zanesville, ohio.....obviously, no longer in service as 40/22 has been upgraded a number of years ago....but, its interesting to see how the bridge was designed to cross a creek or low spot...更多
