This is a really nice park with good trails and floating dock / walkway that is probably 1/4 mile long. I don't fish but there were a lot of people fishing the lake so I am assuming it is a good spot. We were on a hiking trip and decided to make this our home base but were not expecting... 更多
Such a beautiful and relaxing place to stay! The house is great but cabins are much more rustic and great for families and groups. The Sunday Brunch is not to be missed!
We took some different trails at Punderson with a hiking group. Admittedly, it was a snowy day that followed some warmer weather, but some of the trails we took were very muddy. The area we were in was fairly flat, so the water couldn't drain well and others in our group said that it wasn't unusual for those specific trails... 更多
My husband and I ate Thanksgiving dinner this year at Punderson State Park. Each year they have a buffet with lots of choices. We were seated right away at a lovely table for two by the window with a nice view of the lake. Our server took our drink orders right away and invited us to start at the buffet.... 更多
Although many people may come here for the lodge, for camping, or for winter activities, I came with a group to hike. Although it isn't the ideal spot for the "roughing it" type of hiker, there are good possibilities to get in some miles. Also, it was obvious that with the lake and the woods, the possibilities for gorgeous fall... 更多
Punderson State Park was very easy to find but VERY difficult to maneuver around once you got to the convention center. The mansion was lovely but the additions made to it to make it into a conference center were not done with older people in mind. Even if your room was on the first floor, you had to go down... 更多
This is one really nice little State Park, sites are pretty level and shaded. It's a quiet park with a great history and a hotel and restaurant that are really unique worth the time to check them out, food is really good too.
Camped for 3 nights. List of disappointments include no wood for campfire, bathroom near our site "closed for the season" and a skanky beach area that park employees admitted that they would not swim at. There is a nice pool that you are supposed to pay $8 a day to use. There is nobody around to pay the fee to.... 更多
Coming from the Washington, DC area, I was struck by the uncrowded, relaxing vibe of this park. We were often the only ones at the beach, marina, or on the boardwalk or hiking trails. Passing two or three people was a big deal. Do not miss the marina! Renting a boat was an excellent way to admire the natural beauty.
This was our first adventure in camping so our expectation was high. The check in person was not helpful and did not provide much direction. The guy's at the Marina were very nice. Beau who was a seasoned camper there was very nice. He told us ways to get to the beach since everything was so spread out. You should... 更多
