There's lots of birds to see...hawks, eagles, owls, etc. You can purchase a cup of worms for I think $1 inside to feed the birds in the closed in area. I usually walk around the left... 更多
We go here all the time for hiking and to visit the birds. You can go into a protected area and visit with many kinds of birds, many of which will come eat seed out of your hand. The blue jays are particularly inquisitive and ornery, they will land on you and investigate anything they find interesting. This is a... 更多
This is a must if you are in the area. They care for found birds that can't be reintroduced into the wild. They offer day camp for kids. The employees are very nice and knowledgeable. Easy to get around even if you are physically challenged. We have been several times. It's a nice walk about.
I am a local to the mansfield area, and I have been here several times. very informative and they often have events where birds are out on the trails with handlers. a very cool experience.
We enjoyed our time here so much. These folks are doing great work and should be recognized for their efforts. Take a peaceful walk and learn about the different birds and don't forget to but worms for the aviary. The birds will land on your hand to eat out of the little cup of worms. I've been to the Ohio Bird Sanctuary many times over the years and it just keeps getting better each time. No admission and you can get up close and personal with birds of the wild that have been rescued. Their mission is excellent and the birds seem to be well cared for. Donations accepted.
Beautiful. In an area with a lot of beautiful parks this one really sticks out. They have a few viewable birds that are residence that look comfortable in their enclosures. The birds just look at peace. They offer trails to walk around and it's absolutely stunning. We went during the fall months and the leaves were changing.
Nice little place to visit on a beautiful day. No admission fee to get in but donations greatly appreciated. They have two Bald Eagles...gorgeous! Love the talking crow! The grounds are neatly kept and workers are very protective of the animals and offer information about them during your visit.
