it is placed at island in Brahmputra River hardly 20 minutes boat drive from guwahati. nice loication ... Mahadev manir is well maintained. must to see.
first of all this place is awesome it is in between river Brahmaputra. Word Uma Nanda means Lord Shiva so this place have a temple of Lord Shiva also. You can see lot of langoors also just be aware them.
If you want to cruise through vast Brahmputra by boats, then go for this temple else you can escape without any regret. It is one of the average temples found in India. The main attraction is that one has to reach the temple located on an island, by boat. The temple is on a small hillock and there are steps as well as a gradient to walk up to the temple. The Shivling is in a small pit and one can touch and worship the same.

this is a shiva temple located on what the locals claim is the smallest inhabited island in a river. one has to go by boat. take the govt ferry which has a nominal rate, the private players are ten times more expensive. the boat ride and the temple visit combined make for a nice outing
