I grew up a couple of blocks away from this Park. I could see the ships pass by from my bedroom. On a summer night we were kept awake with the bridge siren and the lock master talking the boat through the locks.
Lock#8 the last lock of The Welland Canal, it use to be the world's longest lock due to the fact that it could accommodate 2 ships at the same time. The fountain is nice ,all in all not a bad place to see the ships.
