Our tiny town has an excellent museum and with it comes a variety of advertised events. I am new to Fort Frances (4 1/2 yrs) and have enjoyed quite a few museums over a life time.....I was very impressed with the curator's hard work. There are some interesting things to see especially upstairs. Not a large display. Lots of space with very little in it.
This one hundred year old school house, now holds the memories, artifacts and history of the Town of Fort Frances. You won't be disappointed if you are looking for something to do. Tea and scones is a treat at the museum. The museum's curator and volunteers work hard to ensure quality exhibits that engage the local population as well as visitors. It's a wonderful place to visit to learn about the area.
We drove over to Ft. Frances for the day from International Falls without any particular plan of action. We popped into this museum on a whim, and were SO glad we did! We popped in for a quick view of the Noden Causeway exhibit but did not visit the entire museum. The exhibit was well done - Museum offers open washrooms for those roaming downtown and a cool place to take a break.
Reminds us of the participation of local residents in the past two world wars and their sacrifices. Faces old and new. Faces never met and faces familair.
