An easy up and down to the beach. Can be muddy so do not wear you nicest shoes. The trails are nice but the best is when you get to the water. There are pools to investigate all along the beach. Keep in mind beach does not equate to sandy stretch of shore to wiggle your toes in, but rocky... 更多
Go see this beach. Very interesting rock formations and sea life, something for everyone to enjoy. Go at low tide to get the best out of your visit. The sandstone cliffs are beautifully warm in the spring sun, and in very interesting shapes and colours. The circle hiking route from the parking lot to Botanical Beach and Botany Beach is... 更多
This place is about 2 hours from Victoria. It made for a nice long day trip, with some other short stops along the way. It a decent 15 walk down to Botany Bay. You can loop over to Botanical Beach, but we found the rocks at Botany more interesting. We lucked out that it appeared to be low tide. There... 更多
Botanical Beach is absolutely breath taking. I lucked out and got to enjoy it on a gorgeous sunny day. The tide was out and the beach had so many amazing tidal pools to check out. The rock formations are gorgeous and the sea vegetation is beautiful. Each pool was unique and it was so fun to look into each one.... 更多
Had no idea what I was in for going to Botanical Beach. Wow. It knocked my socks off. The beach area is positively stunning and for all you camera buffs you are in for a ride. Just the most wonderful place to spend time and lose yourself. The tide pools are glorious. Never seen anything like it. I would absolutely... 更多
Great little hike to an amazing beach. So much to see in the tidal pools, we spent hours just looking at everything. Highly recommend you spend the day.
A short hike down to a gorgeous beach - interesting geological formations, rock pools, huge variety of seaweeds and anemones, occasional sightings of grey and humpback whales, hard to say what time of year is best as it is great during storms and great on sunny days too. Really worth it.
I hadn't been to Botanical Beach for a number of years and to me, the tidal pools weren't quite as abundant with sea life as in the past. So, a wee bit of a letdown but still worth the walk to the beach.
Another beautiful beach on Vancouver Island to explore . In the torrential rain and post snow of February good hiking boots were essential . I think it would be an amazing picnic spot with wave watching as an added bonus . many folk enjoyed the swing rope over the water .
