Ben Boyd tower was cool, but it was really the cliff areas that I loved. My friends and I walked down to the cliff areas, and the rocks and geology of the place was really spectacular. I've never seen the type of red-ness and shapes...更多
It is a bit of a walk through the bush to reach the tower and not much there when you arrive, but you can wander around and "feel" the atmosphere. The track in is an easy walk and suitable for most ages...even someone with compromised...更多
Interesting historical site. No access to the top of the tower. Unfortunately, the ferals have visited the site, and left there mark(s). Bit of a walk from the car park.
Amazing that such a large structure built using stone from Sydney is such a difficult location. Shame about recent fire damage in surrounds but not affect the Tower.
It is a bit out of the way, and on a reasonably good dirt road to get there, but it was worth the trip. Shame that you could not climb to the top for the view, as the ground floor of the tower was like...更多
Its amazing seeing these old relics still standing and the history surrounding them. Near Ben Boyd Tower is Edrom Lodge which used to be a womens prison as well, and Davidson wharf, which dates back to the whaling era,
