When I was a kid, the children's library was a partial floor in the main downtown library with small chairs and tables. Oh, how things have changed! From the meant-to-be-played-on sculptures outside the entrance, to the puppet show theater, Tinker Toy section, and art installments...更多
If you want a free children activity then this is your place. They have hands on exhibits, computers, story time and the parents could sit back and watch. This should be the model for all children library's in the country.
I wish we had this when I was growing up in Philly. The kids always enjoy the various activities and the building also includes a Mecklenburg library. Displays are always changing and kids can check out the youth plays.
