We went into the park at a number of places along its length. Some places were bit bland, some were spectacular, but well worth a few days exploring, maybe a winery or 2 to break up all the views.
The road surfaces were excellent all the way from Dunsborough to Cape Leeuwin Light house . There the paths to the Lighthouse were marvellous for my disabled husband to manage. Lovely staff at the site. En route , twisting and winding roads which dazzled you with the magnificence of the hundreds and hundreds of tall, beautiful trees , and grass... 更多
Just loved the nature and beaches. If you can stay at Contos Camping Ground. It is absolutely beautiful (and peaceful). It has recently been extended with 2 extra loops so more spots but it was very quiet when we were there. Big clean kitchen and toilets but no showers. The caretakers were very nice people. We drove through the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park to get to the Mammoth Cave and Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse. Just had to stop and admire the beautiful and very tall Karri and Marri trees – simply spectacular!
This park is huge and you can see all sorts of nature : Bush,Beach, forest. It is worth to have a look on all of this especially in spring when you can see the different wild flowers. You can see the whales on the see and also a lot of wonderful birds. Take binoculars to have more fun.
We just left here this morning, stayed for two nights. The drop loos were perfectly clean, firewood chopped and supplied, no rubbish laying around. The camp care takers came around several times, happy to chat and suggest things to see and do. We loved the silence of a night, full moon meant we had some moonlight to sit under and... 更多
