Love the intimate feel of this theater-acoustics were wonderful-we sat in 2nd row of the Orchestra-seats were very comfortable. Seats in the balcony are way too small for the average adult today, so I wouldn't recommend that area. Enjoy grabbing a drink before the show or during intermission.
We have seen a couple of shows here and wish Syracuse had a better venue. The renovations done a couple of years ago make the place shine, but the core problem remains - space. I am not a particularly large man, but the seats are small. You sit elbow to elbow which is fine if you know the person you... 更多
Reminiscent of the art decco period, The Landmark, once a movie theatre in downtown Syracuse, was built in the 1920's. After suffering the blight of the city, it survived demolition and eventually was renovated in the 1970's. The site of concerts and other stage events, the theatre could not compete with more modern facilities. Around 2010, the stage was expanded... 更多
As most of these reviews are stating, the seating is very bad.. The next time that I go to this theater, I will spend the extra money to sit down in the orchestra section and not the balcony. Once you are seated in the middle of a row, there is nowhere to move. My knees were hitting the seat in... 更多
Attended Beautiful - Carol King Musical last night at the Landmark Theater in Syracuse. Our group had five people attend and our ages were 23 to 65 so we had a great spread of music likes. The show was just great and we all enjoyed it beyond question. Only one complaint was shared by all...... SEATING IS TERRIBLE! Yes seats are... 更多
The inside of this theatre is just stunning. Very ornate with lots of gold and bright colors. Its a good size and plenty of seats. I thought the seats were comfortable enough...they are close to each other which is typical...a little on the small size. We were in the 2nd row near an isle so it was easy for us... 更多
The Landmark is amazing. The ornate interior with it's Moroccan flavor and gilt-painted woodwork is a feat for the eyes. Such beautiful lighting fixtures , handrails, mirrors and tiles are just as enthralling as any show on the stage. Went to see "Wicked" in March and absolutely loved it! Of course, we all wish for more leg room between rows... 更多
We went to see "Wicked" on March 25. It was an amazing show and the theater was beautiful. I had read that the seats were uncomfortable, but we thought they were fine. Parking is very convenient just a few blocks away. We will definitely go back.
Five of us visited to see Wicked. While we enjoyed the show and the stunning esthetics, the seats are desperately uncomfortable and the air becomes hot and stagnant very quickly. It was a joy to perform at Landmark years ago but we will not be patrons again until it is modernized.
Went to this theatre for the first time to see the show Wicked on a Sunday afternoon. The theatre is gorgeous! We found event parking (just follow the signs) that was outdoor and $10. I heard there are several parking garages to utilize as well, but this was just a couple blocks away. We had orchestra seats (row P&R) and... 更多
