I'm sure there are some very nice plants here (my wife could tell you; she's a plant person), but I was way too enamored with all the animals to pay any attention to them! Little balls of quail were jutting around all over the grounds; every corner you'd turn, there'd be a pile of turtles in a pond. I spent... 更多
The Lamberton Conservatory is an oasis of serenity, beautiful to observe and easy to enjoy. It consists of several separate units of what one might describe as greenhouses, each dedicated to, and replicating, a different climate and inhabited by plants that grow in them. The visitor can stroll from one to another, all the while under cover, while water splashes,... 更多
A fabulous place to visit in any season but particularly during the harsh months of winter. They change the displays often and the Easter display is a favorite due to the colors and scents of the flowers. If you haven't been or have never been.. do not wait one more minute. You can buy a card that gets you in... 更多
We recently enjoyed wandering out of the cold in the Lamberton Conservatory. The little quail and turtles provide amusement for young children and the plants are quite beautiful. It is small, but priced appropriately for its size.
My husband, grown daughter and I went to the Conservatory only. It was a raw, rainy mid week day so it was fairly quiet. If you have an appreciation for plants you will enjoy this little treat. The conservatory is quite small but packed with plants and includes a few turtles and birds too. It is inexpensive and takes only... 更多
Went there on a snowy Saturday afternoon. Made winter disappear for a little while. Very nice people working there. Some people were there painting, most just walking through. No ne was in a hurry and it was not crowded. The plants are nice, and offer a welcome change of scenery. The turtles and quail add a nice touch as well.
When it's cold and grey in upstate New York, I head for the Lamberton Conservatory to warm up and get my flower fix. My favorites areas are the jungle room with towering tropical plants, and the desert room. Watch out for chipmunks darting among the cacti, or tiny quail running around. At Christmas, there's a beautiful display of poinsettias. It's... 更多
The staff at Highland Park have done a phenomenal job with developing an inviting atmosphere for walking and exploring. The smallest interest in horticulture will be richly rewarded with multiple displays of plant life. The Conservatory is also well worth a visit to see the different biomes. My personal favorite is the rainforest although the desert biome is an interesting... 更多
My sister and her husband were in town for the day and the lilacs for the lilac festival were not in bloom yet so we decided to drive up the hill to the conservatory. My sister uses a walker and handicap parking was close by. The walk through the conservatory was beautiful and interesting. Besides the various plants, we were... 更多
