I've been going to this Post Office for many years. I especially enjoyed talking with former Customer Service counter Reps., who were courteous & patient. It has vastly changed! I have a Post Office Box & im continuously getting other people's mail in my Box...更多
One of the older, FDR - era (I think), post offices still around. Cut from stone and marble (?) and has fantastic murals in the lobby. A must see. Postal workers? Eh, same everywhere.
We visited the location a bit late, but we got to see some of the 1st floor details and the second floor. They have gorgeous murals depicting many historic events. there are also rich displays describing chock full of historical information, which we truly enjoyed....更多
Lots of history here! Worth a visit if you've got the time. There are stories on the walls about the history of the Post Office and even a picture of FDR at the ribbon cutting ceremony.
Yes, it's a great old building but its not what I would call an attraction by any means. Perhaps a stop for those wishing to take some photos, but that's about it.
