Great fun for the kids. They're quartz, of course, but it's fun to explore, discover and find the first one! Takes you back to the 50s and 60s when roadside attractions were a little bit kitsch, a little bit education, a lot of just plain amusement. You'll be surprised by how much you enjoy it.
Thanks for your kind words, Ron! We agree - it's fun to explore and see what you find here, and... 更多
Didnt really know what to expect from a 9 yr old girl whether or not she would be interested. However all it took was our first find and the fun began for all 3 of us, sifting through dirt ,mud, chipping away at rocks (really no need) and coming home with a handful of some nice diamonds, we returned the next... 更多

They call it a diamond mine but it is really Crystal Quartz. That being said it is a popular place with a full spectrum of "miners" from the very serious...their own tools and umbrella stands to protect them from the sun....to day tripper families just having fun. There is an RV park across the street which would make it a... 更多

We went there this past weekend, it was 2 families, each w/ 5 year old daughters. There is a "training" video that is pretty useless other then telling you to look or rocks is holes. Clearly the video is intended to get your expectations up (their geologist finds diamonds just laying on the ground, and they have a family that... 更多

A waste of time and money, you must have rocks in your head if you pine for diamonds in a quarry. Our kids lost interest in 20 minutes, we did score a few diamonds but enjoyed our visit to Little Falls much more.
Oh Boy did we have fun at the mines! My guys (ages 7 and 42) and I went 7-8 hours for two days mining these awesome diamonds. My little guy loved it, and the big guy was in his geology/mining glory. We left with pockets full of nice gem quality quartz and momma has some jewelry to design!
We're so happy to hear you and your family had a wonderful day with us mining for diamonds! Have fun... 更多
Went camping with the kids, lots of nice people around. Of course, finding diamonds is a little girls dream!
Thanks for your wonderful review, Marieke! We are so thrilled you and your family had a great time with us! 更多
We enjoyed our time here as it was certainly very different from our usual holiday activities! The information film was interesting and we loved the museum exhibits. We did find a few chips of 'diamonds' which are now in my mineral collection! I would recommend wearing sturdy shoes as it is quite difficult to walk across the stones to the... 更多
We made a stop here as part of a bus tour to mine for some "diamonds" which are actually quartz crystals. We started out with a briefing on the upstairs floor of the building where we were told some facts and history and had a question and answer session. There were some beautiful items on display upstairs, including a group... 更多
Very tourist trappy. We camped and mined down the street. Stopped to see the museum which costed $2 per person. It was worth $2, but not much more. It is located upstairs from the gift shop. We were going to do the sluice bags, but the guy behind the counter was carefully inserting a variety of treasures into the dirt... 更多
