We spent a quiet night here on our way out to California. The campground was clean and the hosts were helpful. We had nice conversations with several of our neighbors. The scenery was beautiful and at night it is as quiet as any place I've ever been.

Really nice place to camp. Arrived just as the sun was setting and left as the sun rose so didn't see much, but had everything we needed and was cheap! But the best part was how quiet it was.
One of the nicest state parks I have stayed in. Very well kept with many amenities to include power and water. Nice restrooms. A very nice setting at $14.00 per night.
I never really paid too much attention to the lake. I mean, I saw it there, but I tend to arrive at night and leave early. They have pit toilets and the sites are spaced reasonably. Much cheaper than lodging, especially if you're carrying your own accommodations.
On our way cross country and stopped at the Corp of Engineers campground. There are developed sites and some with electricity. We stayed at the primitive sites for $10, since we are totally self-contained with solar panels. Very quiet being 7 miles north of I-40. Would stay here again.
