Look, it isn't bad at all and if you have interest in this American art form, it is worth the $10. It could be so much more, however. There really is not much about the origins of jazz outside Louis, and the estimable contributions of KC are minimized. Bird gets a nice display (and I went to visit his grave... 更多

Nicely presented small museum. Audio options attached to each exhibit. Informative Displays about many jazz greats, like Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald, including many samples from their recordings. Interactive displays add to knowledge of jazz. I liked the one where you could listen separately to the elements of a jazz performance, I.e. the rhythm line, the melody, the improvisation, etc.... 更多

I, personally, love jazz and love learning about the history. I loved all of the interactive activities and all of the pictures and the old style signs. The only thing I can say that is a downfall is the information overload. Just like this museum's neighbor, the Negro Leagues baseball museum, it has so much information all over the place... 更多

Considering the vast scope of the history of jazz in this country, it is disappointing this museum or others have not done a good job delivering on the possibilites. Very small museum. You could do the museum in ten minutes. Just go to the Negro Baseball Miuseum and then go to Arthiur Bryants. Awesome pulled pork.

This is a must see. It has an unbelievable amount of information but it also has many machines so you can hear the music.

This museum is in the same building as the Negro League museum, however if you enjoy both subjects but only have time for one, choose the Negro League museum. This museum focuses on jazz as its place in the history of Kansas City. It's a pretty basic display and seems to still be a work in progress. Just okay.

Interesting exhibits. Great art work, Great ability to actually listen to the music with out it being over bearing. Keep in mind the words to the song Kansas City when you arrive at the location. Take a little extra time and visit the Negro Baseball Museum attached.

Did the combo ticket with the Negro leagues museum. Learned a lot even attended a free jazz show at 5. The jazz show was excellent. Drinks were delicious. My issue was the waitress was in a bad mood. And then we were ready to leave, we were trying to get out the same way we came in which was through... 更多

The location is also shared by the American Negro Baseball League Museum. Cost $10 to see the museum. The Jazz exhibit is interesting, though small. BUT, there was live jazz when I was there Saturday afternoon, and that was well worth the price of admission. My friend who was with me was not a jazz fan going in, he was... 更多
