My visit to the Missouri's Governors Mansion was extraordinary. I visited during my winter break in 2016, because I like history ad I haven't visited since 5th grade. The trip was well worth it. This historical building in very beautiful and full of character. The whole ground of this amazing and stunning building is also a brilliant site to see....
The Governor's Mansion is a beautiful part of Jefferson City and is definitely something that should be visited when given the chance.
You can only tour the first floor, as the second and third floor are the private residence of the sitting governor and his family. The first floor includes many beautiful furnishings that each tell a part of Missouri...
Plan in advance. The tour is of the first floor and shows many historic furnishings. This is definitely an important part of the Capitol and the history of Missouri. The outside has many interesting features and groomed landscaped grounds.
Plan in advance and make reservations if going on a school day. The tour includes the first floor of the governor's mansion and is very informative. Children might not enjoy it as much as adults, but it is interesting.
Nice place to have to live if you are lucky enough to be elected governor The mansion is well planned and is a treasure. The portraits of the first ladies are somewhat gaudy me but do show the different periods
