The 68 HS string players were entranced by the innovative seating of the very large orchestra on stage. The staging was minimal but worked perfectly. The singers and players were engaging and kept my students interested. Wagner's Das Rheingold was entrancing.

The opera Carmen itself was wonderful. The venue, Ordway theater in St Paul, provided totally inadequate bathroom facilities for the women. I used the ladies' room during intermission and the line of women had to be at least a hundred women long possibly as many...更多
