The Little Traverse Wheelway is one of the most beautiful stretches of paved bike trail in the world. It spans more that 35 miles from the little town of Charlevoix, runs past Petoskey and then goes to Harbor Springs in the north. You can also head north from Petoskey and end up in the small town of Alanson near Crooked... 更多
We run this trail every time we are in town. It is safe, beautiful and is the perfect distance for training. We usually run to/from downtown petoskey (at the little lighthouse) to the Inn at Bay Harbor. It is 6/7 miles roundtrip and always helps us achieve our running goals while engaging our senses. So many gorgeous houses to look... 更多
I live 20 minutes away from The Little Traverse Wheelway. You can walk, bike, xc skiing or snowshoe. Take your choice of the wooded path or lake view. Start in Harbor Springs, Petoskey, Charlevoix the views are spectacular. I would recommend researching the pathway miles you want to cover, there are many options. Great for all ages and all seasons.
I've spent many hours on the trail in every season -biking, running, walking and snowshoeing. It's well maintained, well used and has some of the most beautiful views in the area. Yesterday I took a short walk and took a photo as it was getting dark.
This is a nice trail with excellent views of the bay. There are a few rolling hills with a couple of steeper climbs. At times it does ride along the highway, but overall it is nice. I believe they have fixed all the transitions from trail to driveways, where before there were some small curbs that were pretty bothersome.

The trail is approximately 25 miles long. The views of Little Traverse Bay all along the way are stunning! I have ridden this trail a number of... 更多
I wanted to do as much walking as I could while in Petoskey. This trail was great! I took it from downtown to the Stafford's Bay View Inn for Breakfast. You can also access the Kilwin's that's outside of the downtown area. I really enjoyed being able to walk by the water!
