I am so glad Edith Wharton's house and property has been restored and maintained. The mansion is beautiful, not too over stated like many of that era. And the rooms have a lot of info to learn about her. The grounds are beautiful.

We last saw The Mount more than twenty years ago when it was serving as a broken down bunkhouse for the actors and crew of Shakespeare and Company. We were overjoyed to see this marvellous restoration of an American National Treasure
