CCMA is a local treasure that should be a must see on your next trip into Dennis, MA. They have an awesome permanent collection and put on regular rotating installations by local artists. The building and landscape is also well worth the visit.
How inviting the artists have made the entire complex that houses the CCMuseum of Art. With a wonderful old theater [showing first run movies under its domed ceiling], many are drawn to the space who might otherwise have missed the Art Museum. It is relatively small, very well curated and staffed by friendly, knowledgable volunteers. We went in March when... 更多
Let me start off by saying that I was aggravated that a group either planning a wedding or considering the location for a venue were monopolizing the museum. The galleries are medium size and this group of 10 along with the staff member showing them through were loud and annoying and didn't seem interested in the art at all. That... 更多
Small museum consisting of two rooms and a downstairs hallway for paintings. Not everything is on display, so their book is available for browsing, however their book doesn't have everything photographed. Definitely got their to see the Hans Hoffman in the entrance foyer! some great local artists, but do check their site as they do change their walls regularly.
We enjoyed our visit to the Museum. The day we were there they had an historical exhibit of the Cape Cod Playhouse. It was most informative. The people working here are very friendly and helpful. We certainly will visit here again next year when visiting the Dennis area.
This is a wonderful little museum, with revolving exhibitions. The building is modern and very pretty and the gardens are just spectacular. It's a very secluded and peaceful place to spend an hour or two. Be sure to put the address into GPS or phone, the sign from the road is very small and you will drive by it if... 更多
This is a small museum that houses two galleries for guest exhibitions and a permanent collection in the basement area where there is also an auditorium and a pottery studio. There are also exhibits outside in the small garden. There is a small entrance fee with discount for seniors and ample parking outside.
This is a beautifully situated, well laid out museum representing art of the region by important artists associated with the Cape over the last 100+ years. Look at the web site and you'll see the range of art presented here. Quite a few important artists. Absolutely worthwhile including the grounds.
A nice place to come on a non beach day. The grounds are lovely with many sculptures. I my visit the museum had a class of some sort that took command of most of the interior space. It would have been lovely to quietly browse through the museums exhibits but that did not happen this time!
