I have enjoyed Scargo Pottery for over 40 years...it just gets better. When Harry Holl sat at his wheel and created beautiful pieces for us, I thought there would never be better ones. Each of our children has a Wedding Plate from Scargo, we have vases, lamps, planters and even a sink from here. Now that Kim has taken over... 更多
My home has evidence of more than one visit to Scargo going back almost 20 years. Actually, so do friends' homes from gifts bought there as well. Full range of products from whimsical to pragmatic. Good prices, too. Bought some large pieces this time for the outside of the house. I'm going to love them. It is worth a visit... 更多
We pulled in yesterday to be greeted by miniature stoneware castles everywhere atop tree stumps. I felt like I was entering a fairy tale. As we walked through the forested area, beautiful colored pottery of every shape and size peeked out from between the branches. It is mind blowing to realize that the infinite number of pieces are handmade by... 更多
Just beyond the pond, and yes as a previous reviewer stated under the "canopy" of pine trees, this stop takes you back to a simpler time. Amazing that a good deal of the pottery is located outside under the trees. Lots of beautiful, creative product to look at, admire and purchase. Working studio. Casual walk was very enjoyable. Good for... 更多
You should go to Scargo Pottery just to SEE it! It is a pottery studio and gallery all in one, located under a canopy of pine trees! They have everything from ceramic sculptures to place settings! The work is displayed both inside and outside! One of my favorite pieces that I got here is a pot that I can use... 更多
Enjoyed wandering throughout gallery. yOu are able to watch pieces being created and enjoy the beautiful art made there. The pieces can be pricey, but the only alternative to buy products made in China. Please support artists from this country.
Very nice pottery and some unusual wall hangings and garden pieces. Pottery with some unique color, patterns and sizes.. A little pricey but it's all hand made there.
We have been vacationing at Scargo Lake for 4 years now and never tire of the creativity of Tina, Kim and Medan. They are true to the spirit of Harry Holl to this day, but their designs keep evolving to always keep their work fresh and new. Well worth the visit to this working pottery tucked away in the pines... 更多
A slice of heaven in the woods above Scargo Lake. Last here some 45 years ago, when I was fascinated by the potter working at his wheel in the late August afternoons. He's gone now, but the place has the same fanciful, artsy, open feel. Prices are quite reasonableness for handcrafted works of art.
